2nd Annual Pahvant Valley Family History Fair

Tri-Stake Conference September 17, 2011

It's that time again, and preparations are being made for the Pahvant Valley Family History Conference to be held September 17, 2011 from 9 am to 3 pm at the Millard High School in Fillmore. The theme this year is: Forever Families: The Perfect Gift. Plan now to attend and more information will be found here at a later date. Fall Classes Coming Up

"Making Your Own Genealogy Blog" ... a six week hands on course. Bring your thoughts about what you would like to put online for others to access. Held on Thursday Evenings 7:00 p.m. on Sept 8, 15, 22, 29. Oct 13, 20. Taught by Allyson Wood

"Genealogy for the Very Beginner" ...a six week course introducing you to the very basics of genealogy in this day and age. Held on Tuesday afternoons at 2 p.m. and Wednesday Evenings at 7 pm: Oct 11-12, 18-19, 25-26, Nov 1-2, 8-9, 15-16. Taught by Vivian Rowlette.

"Which Program Should I Use to Enter My Data?" "Legacy? RootsMagic? PAF? or Ancestral Quest? Or something else?" ... Each week will be devoted to a different affiliate program. All programs may be checked out for free on the computers at the family history center. All but PAF charge a fee to put on your computer but can be tested with a trial version or at the Delta Family History Center. Sep 6 - Legacy; Sep 13 - RootsMagic; Sep 20: PAF and Family Insight; Sep 27: Ancestral Quest. All will be held at 7 p.m. Teachers are still pending.
